The Times The AI A Changin'...

The Algorithm Who Cries 'Wolf!'

Remember the boy who cried 'Wolf'?

This story encapsulated what our over-refined capitalism corrupted within us.

Or without us.

The boy was no longer listened to, in the old stories, the old sense.

This led to his tragic demise and, at least in principle, that of the village.

All of them - terrified, fleeing from a murderous surprise attack, dying in horror.

But what happens if we give the boy who cried 'Wolf!' power?

What's the advantage in this?

Where is the progress here?

(This has probably been said before.)

The only progression I see here, which might be that of a tumor for all I/we know,

is one that proceeds from dying in horror

to dying --

in indifference, for the discerning;

in mania, for the youthful;

in melancholia, for everyone.

The difference is that our demise is no longer tragic, but incidental, episodic, inconsequential. And life, follows.

The shadow of death on life can indeed be eliminated!

The only thing you need is enough artificial light

to trick the eyes to close upon themselves.

The only thing radical about AI,

that gives it any "substance,"

is its ability to attain this...

...enough.

Neo-fascism, Really? (Not A Poem)

It's not neo-fascism. Look around. But don't just look around, Look back. And What you see isn't that. Not fascism, not even neo-fascism....

A Thought, Maybe Dangerous:

If the wrong Zion was born from the hatred of Christians, the good Zion will be born from the love of Muslims.
